From the lodge you can easily reach Europe’s most Northern Animalpark – Polar Park. Only a hike or bike ride away, here you can experience the animals in large and animal friendly enclosures. Ever wanted to interact with wolves? Here you can!
Also housed in the Polar Park is the national Predator’s Centre. Here you can find information on all large predators of Scandinavia.
Attention all Kayakers: The Salangselva river is an exceptional attraction for fans of whitewater. However, some experience is required.
Even Norway’s national waterfall is not far away. Målselvfossen is an incredible show. The Målselva is a river famous for its population of salmon, whose migration you can observe in the summer!
In Summer there are innumerous hiking trails in the mountains, whether you fancy a daily excursion or longer tours with overnight stays.
The Norwegian Tourist Association has set up well equipped cabins at distances easily covered in a day. We especially recommend summit hikes! The marked trails are directly connected to the hiking trails Nordkalottleden and Kungsleden.
Combine your stay with a walk up the 2117 steps of the midnight-sun stairs in Tennevold.

And of course there is always much to do at the Huskylodge: reindeer, pigs, goats, freedom and of course huskies! The animals are always happy to be petted and cuddled! They all have to be fed and cared for and everyone is welcome to help! You can even take the puppies or

retired dogs out on walks and short hikes out on your own. Of course the reindeer are great company for a hike – but always with a guide!

These packages include transfers either from the airport or the bus station in Setermoen, seven nights accommodation in our wilderness cabins, and two organized excursions – in winter with the dog sleds, in summer with the reindeer and in the fall with huskies and trainingsleds. Use of the sauna and some necessary equipment is also included.
