With this special offer, we offer you the opportunity to closely experience the Arctic climate. During the tour we cross the entire East Finnmark via dog sleds.
We start with our dog teams in Kirkenes on the Russian border. First we drive south through the Pasvik national park, which is known for its Pine forests and its large bear population.
We follow the Pasvik river, which marks the border between Norway and Russia, and therefore, we stay only on its left bank for the first few kilometers.
Later, we orientate ourselves westward and reach the town Tana Bru after about four days, which lies on the banks of the Tana River. This great river is particularly known for its wild salmon. A thick layer of ice covers the rives this time of the year on which we move toward the North for a day.

Now the VARANGER PENINSULA lies before us. We continue north through an arctic world, otherwise only found on Svalbard in Europe. We ride through deep valleys and plains and towards the end of the tour directly along the cold, turbulent Barents Sea.
On the eleventh day we reach our destination: Vardo, the small fishing town on the north-eastern tip of Norway. Vardo is the only place on the European continent in the Arctic climate zone.
In this area we are particularly dependent on the weather conditions, which can be very rough, so we have to adapt the itinerary to the conditions.

ONE day of arrival in KIRKENES where we stay in a hostel just outside the city. Therefore, you must book your flight to KIRKENES. On the SECOND day we load up the sleigh, and after a short introduction, the tour starts. On ELEVENTH day we arrive in Vardo.
We will spend the TWELFTH day in Vardø. Here you have the opportunity to go fishing with Ane’s father in the Barents Sea and explore the fantastic world of sea birds! However, please also note that the activities are subject to the weather conditions.
Day THIRTEEN is the day of departure.
The departure must be organized from Vardø. Vardø has its own small airport with daily flights to Kirkenes and Tromsø.
However, the best alternative is a ride on the famous Hurtigruten from Vardø to Kirkenes. The boats operate daily, and the trip takes about four hours.
